Ma Baker tackles sugar consumption with new Sugar’d Out Flapjacks

“New 100% Taste, No Added Sugar Flapjacks”

Reduce your sugar intake while you snack now that the popular Ma Baker flapjack brand has launched Sugar’d Out, a new and exciting range of No Added Sugar Flapjacks.

Made in the UK, these delicious oat and fruit bars are a great alternative to high sugar snacks. Handmade with British Oats and all-natural ingredients, the principle of Sugar’d Out is to reduce sugar in everyday foods without sacrificing taste and without resorting to artificial sweeteners.

Known for their original selection of high-quality snacks and handmade flapjacks, Ma Baker’s new Sugar’d Out range features three best-selling fruity flavours, Raspberry, Apricot and Blueberry.

Paula Boardman, Commercial Manager at Ma Baker, explained: “We are very excited about the launch as our new Sugar’d Out bars fulfil consumer needs for ‘something sweet’ without the added sugar, which is an important consideration for consumers in today’s market”.

“We are constantly being told about the negative effects of sugar in our diets, so reducing sugar intake is a massive step forward to improving the nation’s health. Transforming three of our best-selling flapjacks into no added sugar products, while keeping the great flavours and texture, has resulted in products that we’re very proud of and hope will make a difference.”

Sugar’d Out Flapjacks are wheat free and vegan and are made with sustainably sourced ingredients, British oats, unsulphured fruits and contain no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives.

With 5g of protein, 10g of dietary fibre and 4.6g of naturally occurring fruit sugars per bar, Sugar’d Out are perfect for breakfasts, on-the-go snacks or for mid-afternoon pick-me-ups. They have distinctive, brightly coloured and impactful designs and are presented in a variety of shelf-ready formats: individual 50g bars, 4-pack boxes and larger boxes of 16 bars.
