Maftoul is a giant couscous formed by rolling Bulgur Wheat in flour. This traditional method produces large couscous ‘grains’, which are perfect for pilafs, salads, tagines, soups or as a dish on its own.
The combination of bulgur wheat and wheat flour creates different shapes of granules in varying sizes with a unique, firm texture and nutty flavour.
Maftoul can be used in dishes that require couscous or to replace rice or bulgur wheat. It makes a delicious side dish to tagines, roasted meats or part of a salad.
